Bonsai's white labelling features

Learn all there is to know about Bonsai white labeling.

What is white labeling?

White labeling allows you to remove Bonsai's branding from emails that are sent to the client, as well as from web pages showing invoice templates or any other documents that the client sees.

Note: To use Bonsai's white labeling feature you must be on the Professional Plan (or higher) and manually update your white labeling settings here after you upgrade. If you prefer to experience the free version of Bonsai, consider signing up for a 7-day trial.

Customize the colors of buttons and links your clients see

By navigating to the Branding page of your account settings, you can set a custom color to be used within the client-facing UI (such as client emails, documents, forms, and client portal).

Here's how you can set up the custom color from your branding settings:

This will change different aspects of your client-facing buttons and links, such as the 'pay invoice' button and the links within the Client Portal:

Email white labeling

We offer a few email branding updates when you have white-labeling enabled:

  • The FROM field to your clients will no longer say "via Bonsai".

  • The logo can be removed or replaced with your own branding instead of Bonsai's default branding:

Website white labeling

Along with email branding, our white-labeling also changes the branding shown to your clients on the website, including within Invoicing/Proposals/Contracts and from within the Client Portal.

To preview this yourself, you'll need to view the client version of an invoice/contract/proposal in incognito or a separate browser.

Also, it is important to note that you need to have a default logo uploaded in your settings for it to work properly.  Without this, it will simply fall back to Bonsai's logo.

if you wish to change the default messaging on emails, you are able to do this by navigating to the 'Default Client Messages Settings' from within your Bonsai account. More information on how to do this can be found here.

At the moment, the ability to change your URL on your Client Portal is not currently available, but we're always open to more ideas. If you have any feature requests, please send it along to support@hellobonsai.com.
