For many basic client actions, creating a Bonsai account is not required. You can access specific areas of your Client Portal and perform actions on your issued documents without needing additional sign-up.
An example of some of these actions include:
Accepting a proposal
Counter-signing a contract
Paying an invoice (with the exception of setting up payments on Subscription invoices)
Viewing projects, paid timesheets and reporting
Viewing information from within the Client Portal (Email matching the one store under your client record is required)
As a client, one of the only purposes you would need to create a Bonsai account would be for managing subcontracting. This would be for completing actions, including:
Creating projects to invite subcontractors to
Viewing your total spend across projects
Sending secure files and messages on projects
Adding/managing subcontractors with custom onboarding flows
Sending a custom contract to a subcontractor
