Clients do not need a Bonsai account to accept proposals, sign contracts, or pay invoices. They can complete these actions without creating an account, even if they are paying via bank transfer.
With that said, if they were paying an invoice via bank transfer, they would need to connect to our payment partner, Plaid, in order to connect their bank account and complete the transaction.

However, there is one exception: if your client needs to pay an invoice using a bank transfer and their bank requires verification through Micro-Deposits, they will need to create a free Bonsai account to complete this verification process:
