Convert an existing estimate into an agreement to quickly generate a client-ready document with your estimate details already included. From there, you can customize the agreement, add additional terms, and send it for signature.
Creating an agreement from an estimate
To create an agreement from an estimate:
Go to Estimates.
Select the estimate you want to use.
Click the Create dropdown.
Select New Agreement.
Choose the agreement type.
Select whether to Create from Scratch or Use a Template.
Enter the document title.
Confirm the recipient details.
Select Continue.
Editing your agreement
After creating the agreement, you'll be redirected to the document builder. The selected estimate will automatically populate the agreement's pricing table.
While you can fully customize the rest of your agreement, the estimate itself cannot be edited from within the document. If you need to update pricing, quantities, or line items, make those changes in the original estimate before creating the agreement, or update the estimate separately and recreate the agreement if needed.
From the document builder, you can:
Add or edit agreement content.
Insert signature fields and variables.
Add additional sections, terms, and formatting.
Review the imported estimate before sending the agreement for signature.
Already have an agreement open?
If you've already created an agreement, you can add an existing estimate without creating a new document.
