Recognizing and reporting abusive behavior or content to Bonsai's team

Bonsai takes abusive behavior on our platform seriously and is committed to providing a safe, respectful experience for all users. If you encounter behavior or content that you believe violates Bonsai’s Terms of Service or Acceptable Use Policy, we encourage you to report it so our team can review and take appropriate action.

When should I report an issue?

You should report an incident if you believe it involves any form of abuse, misuse of the platform, or activity that could put other users or Bonsai systems at risk.

Examples include issues that occur:

  • Within a Bonsai account or workspace

  • Through messages, documents, or shared content created in Bonsai

  • Via email communications or activity related to Bonsai services

  • Outside of Bonsai, but directly related to the misuse of a Bonsai account

Types of abusive behavior or content you can report

You may report the following types of behavior or content for review:

  • Offensive, abusive, or illegal behavior

  • Harassment or threats

  • Impersonation of individuals or organizations

  • Spam or unsolicited outreach

  • Scams or fraudulent activity

  • Misuse or unauthorized access to accounts

  • Sharing of private or sensitive information without consent

  • Other activity that violates Bonsai’s policies

If you are unsure whether something qualifies, you can still report it and our team will assess the situation.

How to report abusive behavior or content to Bonsai

To report an issue, please contact the Bonsai Operations team directly.

When submitting a report, include as much relevant detail as possible to help us investigate efficiently. Helpful information includes:

  • A clear description of what occurred

  • When the issue happened (date and approximate time)

  • Where the issue occurred (account, document, message, email, etc.)

  • Names, email addresses, or account details involved (if known)

  • Any supporting materials, such as screenshots or copies of messages

Providing detailed context allows our team to better understand the issue and take appropriate action.

What happens after you submit a report?

Once your report is received, our team will review the information and determine next steps based on Bonsai’s policies. Depending on the situation, this may include further investigation, account restrictions, or additional follow-up if more information is needed.
