The Services library helps you manage your service offerings efficiently. Instead of manually entering each service when creating proposals or invoices, you can select from pre-built services that automatically populate all relevant details, including name, description, price, type, and category. This streamlines your workflow and reduces repetitive data entry.
Creating a new service
Navigate to the Services tab
Click New service.
Enter the required information: name, description, price, type, and category.
Save the service to add it to your library.
You can edit any of these fields at any time by selecting the desired service from your library. Changes are automatically applied to future document use.
Service templates
Bonsai offers over 300 pre-built service templates across 19 industries. You can add these templates to your library, customize them to fit your services, and use them in any proposal or invoice.
Adding a service from templates
Open your Services Library.
Browse the templates available categorized by industry.
Select a template to add it to your library.
Using a service in a proposal or invoice
While creating a proposal or invoice, click on the line item where you want to add a service.
Select a service from your library. All details will populate automatically.
Adjust any fields directly within the proposal or invoice.

Categories
Categories help you organize your services for faster selection and better management. You can create new categories to match your workflow or industry needs.
Open the Categories section in your Services Library.
Click New category.
Enter a name for the category.
Select a color
Save your changes.
Once a category is created, assign services by selecting the desired service and choosing the category from the dropdown menu:

Can I edit a service after adding it to a document?
Yes, editing a service in your library updates it for future use, but it does not retroactively change services already added to existing documents.
Can I create custom services not based on templates?
Yes, simply click New service and enter your custom details.
