Managing two-factor authentication (2FA) on your account

Learn how to edit the two-factor authentication for your Bonsai account.

To enhance account security, two-factor authentication is required for all Bonsai accounts. A 6-digit code is necessary when logging into your account and when accessing key features, such as Bonsai business accounts, updating account settings, and more, to help keep your account secure.

The two-factor authentication screen looks like the following image:

Note: Two-factor authentication is required for all Bonsai accounts and cannot be disabled.

Managing your two-factor authentication settings

Since two-factor authentication is required for all accounts, there is only one way to update this information yourself: by following the available options within the account settings. These options ensure that your account remains secure while you make any necessary updates.

To update your two-factor authentication settings, please navigate to the 'Two-factor Authentication' tab of your account 'Settings'. Once there, you can choose between email and SMS verification:

Note: Two-factor authentication via SMS verification is required if you are utilizing a Bonsai business account.
