Archiving or deleting a project

Learn how an active project can be archived or deleted.

If you created the project and are looking to delete or archive the Project, then there are a couple of ways you can achieve this. Either from the Project list or from within the Project itself.

If you are in the Project itself, clicking on the three dots on the top right of the Project will bring up a menu. This menu shows the options for archiving or deleting the Project completely.

If you don't see the options link, then the project may have been created by another party, and would need to be actioned by them.

Archiving the project

When archiving a project, the project would be removed from plain sight, however, all of the documents and invoices attached to the project will still remain on the account. While a Project is archived, you will still be able to make changes to the project at any time, which includes changing details of the invoices, proposals, contracts, tasks and more.

An archived Project will be removed from the selections when creating an invoice or entering a new time entry on your account.

Deleting the project

Deleting a Project means deleting the Project itself, as well as all of the invoices, tasks, proposals, contracts and other related entries. This will permanently delete everything associated with the Project.

Note: Once a Project has been deleted, there would be no way to recover the information attached to the Project. This includes any deleted invoices, proposals, contracts, time entries, tasks and other related items.
