Bonsai supports automatically importing expenses from US-based bank accounts or credit cards. To connect your account for automatic import:
1. Navigate to Bookkeeping > Expenses > Import Expenses
Alternatively, you can visit this URL and click "Connect Account"
2. Click "Continue" and allow the data sharing agreement from Plaid.
3. Search for your institution in the list, select it and enter your credentials (🔒 Your data is fully encrypted with our partner Plaid; Bonsai doesn't have access to it. More info)
4. Once your account is successfully synced
You will be prompted to select the type of account you've imported: Personal, Business or Personal & Business.
This will help our tax engine calculate the right deductions amounts if you have enabled the Tax Assistant.
