If your client has voiced their acceptance of your proposal outside of Bonsai or you need to mark your proposal as accepted on their behalf for any reason, you can easily do so within your proposal options.
Marking proposals as accepted
To mark a proposal as accepted, head over to Client Management > Proposals on the navigation bar. From here, view the outstanding proposal and use the additional options to select 'Mark Accepted'.
A confirmation screen will appear to confirm the action. Please note that manually accepting a proposal is not a reversible action, and the document cannot be edited further. To finalize the acceptance, click on 'Mark Accepted'.
Once you do this, your proposal will be updated so that it is now accepted for your client. It will not send a notification email to them on your behalf.
For proposals with upfront payments
If you have set up an upfront payment on your proposal, it will be disregarded if you mark your proposal as accepted on behalf of your client. This means that there will be no upfront payment recorded, including a corresponding income entry.
If you wish to collect an upfront payment, an invoice will need the be created and sent to your client separately.
