Leveraging task templates

Easily organize repeatable tasks with preset lists.

Task templates simplify the process of managing a new project by adding preset task lists. Each task template can have multiple tasks and subtasks. This is helpful when you have a set structure of tasks that are used regularly. You can add or edit the tasks anytime as your process evolves.

To create a new task template:

  1. Head to the Tasks page and click the arrow next to New Task.

  2. Select Manage Templates, then click New Template to create and customize your template.

Add start & due dates to task templates

To add start and due dates to your task templates, start by selecting a task in the template you would like to edit, and then select the "Dates" field on that task.

You can set the task's start/due dates based on your preferred number of days before or after the project's start/end date.

You also have the option to skip weekends if you'd only like this to account for business days.

Add dependencies to task templates

To add dependencies, select the desired task, then use the panel on the right-hand side to choose the dependency type and the related task.

You can choose from the following dependency types:

  • Waiting on

  • Blocking

  • Related to

At any time, you can remove a dependency by clicking on it and selecting Delete:
