Overview
Deals allow you to manage your sales pipeline using customizable stages and a visual kanban board. Each deal stores key details such as value, contacts, tasks, and related projects, helping you track progress and forecast revenue.
Set up your deal pipeline
Create a structured pipeline to track deals through each stage.
Steps to set up a pipeline
Navigate to More > CRM > Deals from the sidebar.
Define your pipeline stages (e.g., Lead, Negotiation, Closed).
Assign a win probability to each stage.
Set outcomes such as Won or Lost.
Save your pipeline setup.
Once complete, your pipeline will appear in a kanban view.
Create a new deal
Add a deal to start tracking a potential opportunity.
Steps to create a deal
Go to Deals.
Select New Deal.
Enter the required details:
Deal title
Client
Pipeline stage
(Optional) Add:
Deal value
Deal owner
Save the deal.
Review, edit, and manage your deals
Steps to edit a deal
Open a deal from the pipeline.
Click into any field to update it.
Save changes as needed.
Each deal includes a detailed view where you can manage all related information.
Within a deal, you have the options to:
Add notes
Create tasks
Create estimates
Change the deal's value
Change the deal's win probability
Change the close date
Change the deal's owner (they will be notified)
Change the primary contact on the deal
Add tags
Add and manage tasks within a deal
Tasks help you track actions required to move a deal forward.
Steps to add a task
Open a deal.
Navigate to the Tasks tab.
Select the + icon.
Add a new task or apply a task template.
Manage tasks
Click a task to edit details
Mark tasks as complete when finished
Right-click to delete or access additional settings
Once a task is created, click on it to view the full task details and customize it to fit your needs. For a step-by-step guide on configuring tasks, click here.
At any time, you can mark the task as complete, or right-click to delete it and access additional advanced settings.
Connect a deal to a project
Link deals to projects to keep all related work connected.
Steps to connect a project
Open a deal.
Go to the Projects tab.
Select the + icon.
Choose to:
Create a new project, or
Link an existing project
Remove a project
If at any point you add a project to a deal that you'd like to remove:
Open the Projects tab.
Select the three-dot menu next to the project.
Click Remove Project.
Move your deals through the pipeline
Track progress by updating deal stages visually.
Navigate to the deals kanban board.
Drag and drop a deal into a new stage.
Deals Revenue Forecast Report
You can control how revenue from a deal is distributed over time, which can be especially helpful when revenue is recognized across several months instead of all at once.
To review this, navigate to the Deals tab > and open a deal. Here you can review the 'Revenue Distribution' field:
In order to set your Revenue Distribution, you must first select the 'Close Date' for your deal:
By default, revenue is applied to the close date month, but you can distribute it across multiple months.
Example:
A $10,000 deal split over two months will automatically allocate $5,000 per month.
If the total distribution does not match the deal value, a notification will indicate the difference.
In the event that you manually adjust the distribution amounts below the Deal amount, you'll receive a notice indicating how much the revenue amount is off by:
Once you're done, click Confirm to save the changes.
Where to view forecasts
Navigate to Reports > Deals Revenue Forecast to view projected revenue over time.
