Troubleshooting scheduling availability

Learn troubleshooting methods to ensure that your scheduling availability is set up successfully.

Updated over a week ago

Setting up your availability in Scheduling is key for making it easy for clients to book meetings with you. By syncing your external calendars, you can ensure that any scheduled events automatically block your availability in Bonsai. The setup process is simple, and troubleshooting is quick and easy.

Checking your calendar connection

First, navigate to Client Management and select "Scheduling". Under "Calendar Settings", you can ensure you've successfully connected to your external calendars:

If your calendar is connected, you'll see a "Connected" button to the right of your calendar host:

With that, you can select "Manage calendars" to review a list of the specific email addresses that provide your connected calendar data.

Review your event availability

Next, we recommend reviewing your availability for each event under "Scheduling".

To do so, select the 3 dots (...) next to the event and select "Edit Event Type":

Under the "Availability" tab, you'll notice that your included calendars will, by default, reflect "All":

This means that all calendars you've connected are synced to Bonsai, and any conflicting events in your external calendars will block off your availability on your booking page in Bonsai.

If you're experiencing an issue with your availability not appearing on your booking page, we recommend selecting the "+" button, which will reveal all of your connected calendars:

This will allow you to specify the exact connect calendar accounts that you would like to block your availability in Bonsai.

Note: Be sure to cross-reference any "all day" events in your external calendar, as this will block your full day availability in Bonsai.
