Billing setting: Service hourly rates (Tasks)
Billing setting: Service hourly rates (Tasks)
Updated over a month ago

With the Service hourly rate (Tasks) as a project billable rate setting, you can easily manage billing for projects that involve multiple services with different rates. This feature allows you to associate tasks with specific services and automatically apply the service’s hourly rate to any time entries linked to those tasks.

How it works

“Service hourly rate (Tasks)” Billable Rate setting in project settings

When selected, here’s the impact on the project time entries’ default billable rates:

  1. Create a service with “Per Hour” type

  2. Assign this service to a task

  3. Result: Any new time entry associated to the task takes the rate of the associated service as as default billable rate value

Supported billing types

This option is available for the following project billing types:

  • Time & Materials

  • Fixed Fee

  • Retainer
