The Service Hourly Rate (Tasks) setting allows you to manage billing for projects that include multiple services with different hourly rates. This feature links tasks to specific services and automatically applies the service's hourly rate to any time entries recorded under those tasks.
How it works
First, navigate to Projects, select your project, and navigate to the project "Settings" page. Here you can review the Billable Rate "service hourly rate (Tasks)":
When selected, here’s the impact on the project time entries’ default billable rates:
Create a service with “Per Hour” type:
Assign this service to a task:
Result: Any new time entry associated to the task takes the rate of the associated service as as default billable rate value:

What happens to time entries in which scenario?
