How to update your payout destination with Bonsai Payments

Update your payout destination easily with Bonsai Payments.

Updated over a week ago

In the event you've set up Bonsai Payments and you'd like to change where your money is deposited once you're paid, you can change your payout destination in a few simple steps.

How to update your payout destination

To update the account you received payouts to, simply navigate to Financial Management > Payments. Next, select the 3 dots in the top righthand corner > "Manage Payouts":

Next, you can select "Add Payout Account" to enter a new debit card or bank account information to deposit your funds to.

Please note: when connecting an account, connect an account that is in the currency of the country you selected during the Bonsai account creation. If you connect an account that is in a different currency, you will be charged Foreign Exchange fees by our payment processing provider.

Updating a Bonsai business account

If you have set up a Bonsai business account, this will be your default payout method for Bonsai Payments and it is not possible to update the account to another external option as long as the business account is active. To learn more about this, please feel welcome to read our help article on this here.

Before another payout method can be added, a Bonsai business bank account will need to be closed. For assistance with this process, please reach out to the Bonsai Support team.
