Update your payout account easily with Bonsai Payments

If you’ve set up Bonsai Payments, and want to change where your money is sent once you get paid, this article will cover everything you need to know to make the switch!

How to update the account your payouts are sent to

To resolve this, simply click on "Manage Payouts" > "Add Payout Account" in the Payments section.

From there you will be able to enter a new debit card or bank account to receive funds.

Important: Only connect an account that is in the currency of the country you selected during the Bonsai account creation. If you connect an account that is in a different currency, you will be charged Foreign Exchange fees by our payment processing provider.

Updating a Bonsai business bank account

If you have set up Bonsai business banking, it is your default payout method for Bonsai Payments and it is not possible to update the account to another external option.

Before another payout method can be added, a Bonsai business bank account will need to be deactivated. For assistance with this process, please reach out to the Bonsai Support team.
