Tipping is a great way for your client to show their appreciation and give you a little extra love. And let's face it - you deserve it!
This article will review how to add this feature to your invoices. Tips can only be added to full invoice payments, as partial payments do not trigger the ability to include a tip.
Note: This option is only available for card payments using Stripe and Bonsai Payments.
Adding tipping to your invoices
Letting your clients add a tip after paying your invoice can be configured with just a few clicks.
To get started, head over to the Invoices page by navigating to Financial Management > Invoices. Click on your invoice and select the additional options, then select 'Invoice
Settings'. On this page, scroll down to select the checkbox that states 'Allow tipping after the invoice is paid'.
That's it! Once these steps have been completed, your clients will now be able to provide you with a tip for your hard work.
Tipping options that appear on invoices
After an invoice is fully paid, your client will then see an option to add a percentage-based tip. The options that display are 1%, 2%, 5% and 10%. At this time, custom tipping is not available.
