Paying Invoices, signing contracts and accepting proposals as a client

Discover if your clients need a Bonsai account to pay invoices or sign contracts.

Updated over a week ago

Clients are not required to have a Bonsai account in order to accept proposals, sign contracts, or pay invoices on Bonsai.

Even if your client is paying an invoice via bank transfer, they will not need to sign up for a Bonsai account. With that said, they may need to utilize our payment partner, Plaid, in order to connect their bank account and complete the bank transfer.

Online Bank Transfers and connecting an account using Micro-Deposits

There is one exception to this. This would be if the client needed to pay for an invoice via their bank account, but needed to verify their bank account using Micro-Deposits. If this is the case, your client will need to create a free Bonsai account in order to utilize this specific feature.

After creating the account and verifying their bank account using this feature, rest assured, your client will not be charged a subscription fee as a result of completing this process.
