Archiving or deleting imported data

If you've imported incorrect or duplicate data into Bonsai, you can archive or delete records to clean up your account. Companies, time entries, and expenses support bulk actions, while invoices must be deleted individually.

Important considerations

Before archiving or deleting records, review your selection carefully. Deleting records may be permanent and irreversible. Imported data cannot be automatically reverted, so you may need to manually archive or delete records if an import contains errors or duplicates.

How to bulk archive or delete imported data

You can bulk archive or delete records from the Companies, Time Tracked, and Expenses sections of Bonsai.

Steps to bulk archive or delete records

  1. Navigate to the relevant page in your Bonsai account: Companies, Time Tracked, or Expenses.

  2. Click the three-dot menu (⋯) in the top-right corner of the page.

  3. Select Select Multiple.

  4. Choose the records you want to archive or delete.

  5. Select Archive or Delete, depending on the available action.

  6. Review your selection and confirm the action if prompted.

Repeat these steps for each section where you need to clean up imported records.

How to delete imported invoices

Invoices do not support bulk archiving or bulk deletion. If you've imported incorrect or duplicate invoices, you'll need to delete each invoice individually.

  1. Navigate to the Invoices section of your Bonsai account.

  2. Click the three dots (...) next to the invoice you'd like to delete

  3. Select 'Delete'.

  4. Confirm the deletion if prompted.

  5. Repeat for each invoice you need to remove.

Important: Invoice deletion may be permanent and irreversible. Verify that you've selected the correct invoice before confirming.
