The Project Billing Report provides a detailed breakdown of billing activity for each project. It shows:
Total billable work per project
Amount already invoiced (billed)
Amount not yet invoiced (unbilled)
Project billing type and financial progress
Important Notes
Only billable work is included in financial calculations
Billing type affects how revenue is interpreted per project
Unbilled amounts may change as invoices are generated
Report values depend on selected filters and currency settings
Report structure
Each project in the report includes the following billing metrics:
1. Billing type
Defines how the project is billed. Supported billing types:
Fixed Fee
Time & Materials
Retainer
Non-billable
This field explains the billing model used for each project.
2. Billable total
The total value of all billable work recorded for the project. It represents:
All time or effort marked as billable
Aggregated at the project level
Before invoicing status is applied
This is the full potential billable amount for the project.
3. Billed amount
The portion of the billable total that has already been invoiced. It represents:
Work that has been included in invoices
Revenue that has already been recognized
This shows how much has already been billed to the client.
4. Unbilled amount
The remaining billable work that has not yet been invoiced.
It represents:
Completed or tracked billable work not yet invoiced
Pending revenue opportunity
This shows how much revenue is still pending invoicing.
5. Remaining Billable percentage
The percentage of billable work that remains unbilled.
It is calculated as:
(Unbilled ÷ Billable Total) × 100
This helps quickly identify how much of the project is still not invoiced.
Totals Summary
At the bottom of the report, a consolidated summary is displayed. It includes totals across all projects for:
Total billable work
Total billed amount
Total unbilled amount
