With Bonsai, a VAT number or tax ID can be included for self-employment tax purposes on invoices in a few simple steps!

Enabling the option to display a VAT/Tax ID on an invoice

To get started, navigate to your Invoices page under the Financial Management section of your dashboard.

Hover over to the righthand panel, and enable the 'Display Tax/VAT ID' option. Use the 'Tax/VAT ID Number' field to input your number.

Once these steps have been completed, your VAT/Tax ID number will be displayed on the invoice, as shown below.

Setting your VAT/Tax ID to display as a default

To set your VAT/Tax ID number as default for new invoices, head over to the Default Values tab within your Invoices page.

On this page, input your VAT/tax ID number in the provided field. Moving forward, the number will display on any new invoice that is created.
