The legality of e-signatures

Yes, electronic signatures are legally recognized and binding in the US.

This was established by two key laws: the Uniform Electronic Transactions Act (UETA) at the state level and the Electronic Signatures in Global and National Commerce Act (ESIGN) at the federal level, both enacted in 2000.
